Looking to add a a friendly and reliable Marketing & Special Events Assistant to our team at Penn's Peak in beautiful Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania!

 

General responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Providing support to the Marketing department
  • Executing marketing strategies
  • Working with the Marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives
  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Performing market and client research
  • Creating reports on marketing performance
  • Maintaining schedules for marketing initiatives
  • Assisting with social media and website content
  • Processing incoming payments for special events
  • Assisting with planning events and responding to questions, complaints and special requests
  • Assisting with special events to ensure optimum service to guests; responsible for set up, execution, break down and proper storage (equipment) of all banquet functions
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Establshed residency in Pennsylvania
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field a plus
  • 1-3 years experience in Marketing 
  • 1-3 years experience supervising and/or assisting with banquet or special events operations
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere a plus
  • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus
  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook Email, Excel and Word
  • Proficiency using the Internet for market research and using social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest
  • Strong Communications Skills - Oral and Written with copy-editing abilities
  • Excellent Organizational Skills - strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Time Management Skills - ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Public Relations Skills - outgoing and friendly personality 
  • Strong Social Networking Skills 
  • Strong Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability to spot emerging trends
