Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $2B credit union in the search for a Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the enterprise marketing strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Define marketing priorities supporting membership growth, deposit acquisition, loan growth, and member engagement.
  • Advise executive leadership on market trends, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
  • Guide member acquisition, onboarding, cross-sell, and retention strategies.
  • Align marketing strategy with digital initiatives, product strategy, and broader organizational goals.
  • Oversee internal communications strategy across the enterprise.
  • Establish and manage marketing performance frameworks, including CAC, ROMI, and LTV.
  • Ensure marketing investments are aligned with measurable business outcomes and ROI.
  • Partner with business intelligence teams to strengthen marketing analytics capabilities and reporting.
  • Promote a data-driven culture focused on performance measurement and optimization.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations based on marketing performance.
  • Develop and execute sponsorship and strategic partnership strategies.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage sponsorship agreements aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure sponsorship activations drive engagement and brand visibility.
  • Evaluate sponsorship effectiveness and ROI.
  • Lead, structure, and develop the marketing organization for long-term success.
  • Provide leadership and direction to senior marketing leaders, including oversight of brand and marketing functions.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative marketing team.
  • Ensure marketing capabilities evolve in alignment with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within financial services.
  • Experience leading marketing strategy for a financial institution, ideally $1B+ in assets.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable growth in membership, deposits, loans, and engagement.
  • Strong expertise in marketing analytics, performance measurement, and ROI modeling.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets.
  • Public relations and media relations experience preferred.
