Photographer/Social Media Specialist
Westtown School Summer Camp is seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Photographer & Social Media Specialist to work June 8 through August 12, 2026. The Photographer & Social Media Specialist needs to capture the spirit of camp and share it with our community. This role combines visual storytelling with digital engagement, ensuring families stay connected to their campers’ experiences while helping promote the camp’s brand in an authentic and engaging way. Applicants should be at least 16 years of age or older. The regular hours will be 8:30 am to 4:15 pm.
Westtown School Summer Camp is a traditional day camp program serving children ages 4 to 14, located on Westtown School’s 600+ acre campus near West Chester, PA. At Westtown School Summer Camp, discovery and education await every child in a creative, supportive, and inclusive environment rooted in the school’s outdoor education traditions. Camp staff members lead campers in a wide variety of action-based educational projects each day. Our camp programs reflect the highest standards of respect, inclusion, and cooperation between counselors and campers.
Essential Responsibilities
Capture high-quality photos and videos of daily camp activities, events, and special moments.
Edit and organize media content for timely sharing across platforms.
Manage and update camp social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) with engaging posts, stories, and reels;
Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice across all content.
Upload and organize photos for parent access in a secure and timely manner.
Collaborate with camp leadership to highlight key programs, staff, and events.
Ensure all media complies with camp policies regarding privacy and permissions.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Experience in Photography and/or videography (portfolio preferred)
Proficiency with photo/video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar apps.)
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation best practices.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interact positively with campers, staff, and families.
Creativity, initiative, and a strong eye for storytelling
Previous camp experience is a plus!
Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds
