Student Worker - Graphic Design/Marketing

A vacancy exists for a Student Worker - Graphic Design within the Communications. Marketing, and Engagement division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit for the 2026-27 school year. The selected candidate will assist division staff with graphic design, communications, and general clerical duties to provide a meaningful work and learning experience for a high school student considering a career in communications, marketing, or a related occupation. The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in one of our TCHS campuses.
 

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in high school
• Graphic design and layout skills and education
• Clerical skills, including word processing, typing, data entry, and proofreading
• Filing, copying skills
• Recommendation and permission from high school guidance office
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in the performance of routine
• High energy and motivation level
• Comfortable delivering and receiving constructive/critical feedback
• Sharp critical thinking skills with sound judgment
• Strong organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-through
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to meet demands from several people, and to multi-task
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Organizing and coordinating skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide graphic design support to the graphic designer and other communications staff as needed
• Provide clerical support to special events coordinator and communications specialists as needed
• Provide clerical support to communications secretary with clerical duties and functions
• Provide clerical support to and back-up in the mailroom as needed
• Provide support to the Duplication Department as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Salary:

$14 per hour

Schedule:

 Up to 14 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
