A rapidly scaling e-commerce brand collective is home to a portfolio of innovative, digitally native consumer brands. With design at the heart of every successful brand story, the team is searching for a Social Media Specialist who can spark engagement, grow vibrant communities, and bring fresh creative energy to two distinct lifestyle brands, one rooted in outdoor adventure and the other in health and wellness.

This junior to mid-level role is perfect for a content-savvy professional who loves turning ideas into scroll-worthy posts, building authentic relationships with audiences, and collaborating with influencers to amplify brand reach. The ideal candidate keeps a pulse on social media trends, knows how to craft compelling storytelling across platforms, and can balance breathing new life into an existing community while building a new one from the ground up.

This is an incredible remote opportunity to work for a US-based company. 

 

What You'll Do

  • Content Creation & Planning
  • Develop content ideas, themes, and posting calendars for both brands.
  • Coordinate with the team to design and publish engaging posts (images, captions, short-form videos).
  • Stay on top of social media trends, particularly Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok formats.
  • Community Engagement
  • Actively engage with followers through comments, DMs, and community conversations.
  • Build relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and niche communities.
  • Influencer Strategy
  • Identify, reach out to, and coordinate collaborations with influencers in the outdoor and wellness spaces.
  • Support campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Brand Management Across Platforms
  • Restart and grow our existing Instagram presence (~16k followers), rebuild engagement, and create a consistent posting rhythm.
  • Develop and grow accounts from scratch, with a focus on influencer partnerships to build brand awareness.
  • Analytics & Reporting
  • Track performance metrics (growth, engagement, influencer ROI).
  • Share insights and recommendations to improve content and campaign performance.

 

What You Need

  • 1–3+ years of social media management or related experience (agency or brand side).
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram (Reels, Stories, posts); experience with TikTok and Facebook a plus.
  • Creative eye for content and ability to draft engaging copy.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and outreach.
  • Experience or interest in the outdoor gear or health & wellness/supplement space is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage content calendars across multiple brands.
  • Proficiency with basic analytics and reporting tools (native platform analytics, Later, Hootsuite, etc.).

  • This is a full-time, long-term position. 
  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.
  • Work from home.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST.
