Location: Star® Roses and Plants, West Grove, PA / Hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days in home office)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm

The opportunity.

As the Social Media Coordinator, you will lead social media strategy and execution for all Star® Roses and Plants platforms. Across our company and brand accounts, we reach both B2B and B2C audiences, and you’ll engage with both regularly. The successful candidate will have the unique ability to think creatively and strategically each day. We’re ready to hear your fun new ideas for content as well as how they fit into your larger social strategy to engage and grow our community! One day you may be filming a Reel in a greenhouse full of roses and the next you might be building a strategy for growing our LinkedIn following with fresh, industry-specific content. Responsibilities you can expect.

  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing team to develop and implement annual social media plan in alignment with Marketing goals
  • Run all social media accounts for company and our brands across multiple platforms
  • Create, proof, edit and schedule content tailored for each platform
  • Monitor and respond to interactions across multiple channels   
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to execute digital advertising strategies and campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Photographer/Videographer to produce original social media assets
  • Work with the Communications Manager to identify and maintain influencer partnerships    
  • Track social media trends and emerging best practices to help grow engagement and following
  • Use analytics to measure performance, optimize strategies, and report results monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Champion social media excellence across SRP, educating internal teams as needed
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required 
Requirements

A few logistics.

You can expect a normal office work environment. This includes sitting, standing, bending, reaching, a normal range of hearing and vision, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You’ll need manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment and the ability to walk and drive to locations. Travel requirements are minimal (0–10%) to visit various local tradeshows, company events, photoshoots, etc.


You have this.

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in social media management; degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Ability to plan content strategically, organize and manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Creative eye for using photography and video to tell stories across digital platforms
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient with major social media management tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Later) and Microsoft Office suite
