Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Research & Insights Manager will be the voice of the consumer for Stateside Brands and our growing portfolio. You will turn data into clear insights that shape brand strategy, product innovation, and key commercial decisions. Your work will influence how we understand market trends, uncover new opportunities, and strengthen our long-term brand relevance in the spirits and RTD space. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead consumer, category, and brand research to fuel innovation and sustainable growth.
  • Identify emerging trends, white space opportunities, and competitive threats using various sources including social listening, panel insights, and retail data.
  • Own voice of consumer research by uncovering needs, behaviors, and friction points across commercial personas including off-premise and on-premise consumers.
  • Analyze product performance, pricing strategies, shopper behavior, and category movement to inform product development, campaign strategy, and channel planning.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking across the broader beverage industry including spirits, RTDs, malt beverages, non-alcoholic lifestyle drinks, and more.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, Partnerships, and Research & Development to improve customer experience, loyalty, and retention.
  • Synthesize insights from multiple data sources into clear narratives supported by strong data visualization.
  • Deliver category and shopper insights to support retail reviews, buyer conversations, and sales strategy.
  • Build insight-driven recommendations that guide long-term brand positioning and commercial planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in CPG, ideally within alcoholic beverages, spirits, or RTDs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience leveraging syndicated retail sources such as Nielsen and Circana, along with consumer research tools, methodologies, and platforms such as Numerator and brand health tracking. Experience using brand health trackers.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative testing for consumer research, brand research, and market research.
  • Experience with concept testing and product testing for new product innovation.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into narratives that influence strategy and decision making.
  • Strong understanding of off-premise and on-premise beverage trends and consumer behavior.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across teams to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including building insights reports, charts and presentations.
  • Ability to present insights clearly to internal teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to1 0% based on needs of the business.
  • Ability to work on-site at our headquarters in Philadelphia.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business, ora related field.
  • Experience in the spirits or beverage industry. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 

 

Compensation  

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $120,000-140,000 USD. 
  • Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications. 
  • The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
