The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Media, Direct Response to play a key role in driving the ADA's digital fundraising efforts. This role will oversee the creation, execution, campaign strategy, and analysis of donor-facing programs across digital channels, ensuring that campaigns are aligned with the organization’s mission and fundraising goals.
This position works closely with external agencies and internal stakeholders and reports to the Director of Digital Media, Direct Response. The role also works collaboratively with our Direct Mail and offline marketing counterparts across the Direct Response team to drive omnichannel engagement across programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Multichannel Fundraising Campaigns: Lead and execute donor-facing fundraising campaigns across digital platforms with the goals of acquisition, retention, and stewardship. Ensure campaigns are targeted, compelling, and aligned with the ADA’s fundraising objectives. Cross channel campaign implementation may include Email, Paid Media, Organic (onsite), SMS and emerging opportunities.
- Donor Stewardship & Engagement: Develop and implement measurable multichannel cultivation and stewardship initiatives to enhance donor loyalty and increase lifetime value.
- Copy Development & Content Management: Partner with copy and creative teams to lead the development of compelling digital content that reflects ADA’s voice and drives donor engagement. Manage strategic creative briefs and project summaries. Maintain consistency across all digital fundraising materials.
- Project Management: Manage timelines, digital tracking, and reporting needs for campaign planning, execution, and analysis. Ensure deliverables are met on time and align with quality expectations.
- Data Management & Segmentation: Develop and manage segmentation strategies to enhance personalization and improve campaign effectiveness. Ensure audience data is properly maintained, segmented, and utilized for optimal targeting and engagement. Maintain relationships with data partners.
- Analytics, Reporting & Campaign Optimization: Track, analyze, and support Director in reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital channels. Define and share campaign metrics, goals, and testing frameworks that drive growth through data insights. Collaborate with broader analytics partners to gain insights on broader ADA web metrics, industry measurements, and develop automations, dashboards, and regular data outputs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned. We are an evolving team with new opportunities to expand cross-channel marketing and launch emerging technologies/platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally with a focus on direct response or nonprofit fundraising. Agency media or account management experience a plus.
- Mission-based copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in the end-to-end development of campaigns across digital marketing platforms and channels. Experience with data management, segmentation, performance tracking, and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with digital engagement and fundraising tools (e.g., FundraiseUp, Blackbaud CRM, Salesforce CRM, Braze, Instapage).
- Solid digital marketing analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management capabilities and multitasking ability.
- Collaborative mindset with experience managing vendor/agency relationships and working across organization departments.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and cloud collaboration tools like SharePoint.
- Strategic thinker with attention to detail and results orientation.
- Self-motivated and proactive in campaign development and execution with strong problem-solving skills.
