Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) has a vacancy for a secondary school counselor within the Division of Career, Technical and Customized Education at the Technical College High School- Brandywine campus in Downingtown, PA.

Qualifications:

• A valid PA Certification in School Counseling PK-12 is required
• Masters in School Counseling required
• Minimum 5 years School Counselor experience preferred
• Experience and knowledge in public or non-public education preferred
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary.
• Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers.
• Participate in Instructional Support Team (IST).
• Respond to crisis situations when appropriate.

Salary and Schedule 2026-27 School Year:

• $69,353 to $101,911 - Master's
• $72,740 to $105,924 - Master's + 15
• $74,415 to $107,845- Master's + 30

*placement is based on related counselor experience
