Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing
Associate is responsible for promoting and selling independent living units at
Homewood Retirement Centers, focusing on maintaining high occupancy levels.
This position also includes move-in coordination duties and participation in
special events, including occasional weekend and evening hours.
Essential Functions:
- Treats all information about residents, their
condition, and family as confidential.
- Complies with established Corporate and Departmental
policies and procedures, maintaining established standards and practices.
- Promotes and closes sales of independent living units
to maintain high occupancy levels.
- Assists with coordinating move-ins and preparing new
residents for their transition into the community.
- Maintains knowledge of all residency agreements and
executes contracts with residents.
- Conducts market research and maintains updated
information on market trends and competition.
- Engages with prospects, conducts tours, and explains
the value and benefits of Homewood’s independent living options.
- Follows up on sales leads in a timely manner and
ensures all information is accurately documented in the lead management system.
- Assists with the planning and execution of marketing
events, open houses, and special events, including occasional evening and
weekend work.
- Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and
implement strategies for maintaining high occupancy levels.
- Understands and negotiates resident contracts
according to Homewood’s policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with maintaining all records and information
associated with marketing and sales.
- Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum associate degree, bachelor’s degree
preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of successful sales and marketing
experience.
- Proven experience with contract negotiation
and product and service line market research.
- Knowledge of professional sales and marketing
standards and techniques.
- Professional-level writing, verbal
communication, judgment, and reasoning.
- Ability to execute value selling and understand
pricing and product strategies.
- Compassion, understanding, and empathy for
older adults.
- Ability to close a sales agreement and guide
residents through the decision-making process.
- Strong organizational, communication, and
customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, adjust
priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
product suite, as well as Welcome Home, Salesforce, or a similar CRM system.
- Conveys a professional image and can
represent Homewood Retirement Centers well.
Physical Requirements:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires
extensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspects
of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionally
required to walk; use hands to manipulate, handle, or operate computers,
objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust
focus. This role may require occasional travel and participation in evening or
weekend events.
