This exciting opportunity allows you to work at the heart of Pittsburgh’s sports scene—PPG Paints Arena—supporting both PPG and the Pittsburgh Penguins. As a fellow for the 2025-26 Penguins season, you’ll gain hands-on experience in sports marketing while splitting your time between these two industry-leading organizations. The position is housed within the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Partnership Marketing team.
The mission of the Pittsburgh Penguins Partnership Marketing team is to protect, maintain, and enhance our partnership revenue by delivering unparalleled value of partner assets to meet and exceed our partners' business objectives. This position will primarily focus on the PPG – Penguins partnership.
The position is based at PPG Paints Arena, 1001 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
*The candidate will occasionally work from PPG’s Global Headquarters, One PPG Place, 36th Floor, Pittsburgh PA 15272
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Under supervision and in close collaboration with the PPG marketing team and Pittsburgh Penguins partnership marketing team, this position will provide support for the corporate sponsorship between PPG and the Pittsburgh Penguins by:
- Implementing contractual partner events and activations
- Strengthening the PPG and Penguins relationship with the development of partnership assets
- Providing meaningful contributions in PPG’s internal meetings and initiatives
- Collecting, managing and summarizing proof of performance metrics
- Creating comprehensive communication and marketing plans
- Managing PPG’s ticket inventory at PPG Paints Arena for hockey and non-hockey events
- Assisting with hockey and non-hockey events at PPG Paints Arena
- Drafting internal employee communications and external PR pieces
- Assisting with the creation of promotional graphics and items through internal teams and vendors
- Creating and drafting digital content
- Creating reports and presentations through various Microsoft Office programs
- Assisting in development and execution of special projects
Requirements:
- Must have completed an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field, or be a senior-year bachelor’s degree candidate in a marketing communications or sports marketing program
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks, takes proactive steps towards improving partner relationships, productivity and team progress
- Team player capable of managing productive relationships within the team and with partners in a professional and collaborative manner
- Software knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Social media knowledge
- Demonstrated competence in managing multiple priorities and projects on tight deadlines while maintaining top quality deliverables; ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work nights and weekends a must
- Other duties as assigned
