POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Global is seeking a Multimedia Marketing Specialist to join its marketing and communications team. This role includes photography and videography of both small-and large-scale office and University events; the creation of impactful video content to be used in the marketing of programs; some written storytelling, such as interviews and feature stories; and possibly exploring new mediums, such as audio storytelling, in the future. Primary Duties Video production in support of Penn State’s international programs, including: Storyboarding Scheduling and executing relevant interviews and shoots Editing videos together to create a cohesive product Using a variety of visual, audio, graphic, and other resources in production process Photography of major and minor events, including: Setup Taking photos Headshots, if needed Editing photos Management of photo library Written projects, including: Feature stories Press releases Editing and posting stories to Penn State News Candidates are encouraged to express their individual strengths in their resume and interviews, which could influence this breakdown. Position Details This position will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications within Penn State Global and will work collaboratively with internal (Penn State Global), University-wide (internationally focused faculty, staff, and students from around Penn State), and external (international partners) stakeholders. This is a hybrid position which can support either a 3/2 or 4/1 office-to-remote ratio. Due to the nature of the position, a fully remote setup cannot be supported. The position is located at the University Park campus. Occasional travel is expected up to a few times per year around the Commonwealth to support international activities at the campuses. There will be opportunities for international travel in support of our partnerships and alumni relations teams. This position, especially during the fall and spring semesters, will require occasional evening and weekend coverage of certain events and programs. Qualifications The preferred candidate will have specialized experience in one or more of the following areas: Photography and photo editing, including relevant software Videography and video editing, including relevant software Creative writing and storyboarding, including AP style This position is filled at the Intermediate Professional level. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. SALARY & BENEFITS The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
