Marketing Strategy Intern

Role Overview:
  
 The Marketing Strategy Intern will support the development and execution of campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of Cantaloupe’s product offerings for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). This role offers hands-on experience in market research, campaign strategy, and execution, providing valuable insights into digital marketing in the self-service and vending industry. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in the fast-paced world of marketing professional services.

Responsibilities & Learning Objectives: 

Phase 1: Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Learn the value propositions of Cantaloupe and the core products. 
  • Conduct a competitive analysis of digital marketing services available to SMBs in the self-service and vending industry, identifying pricing models, service packages, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Analyze customer demographics and purchasing behavior to assess pricing elasticity and optimize package offerings.
  • Evaluate past marketing efforts for Cantaloupe’s marketing services, identifying key areas of success and opportunities for A/B testing and optimization.

Phase 2: Campaign Development & Strategy

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a comprehensive marketing campaign focused on increasing awareness and adoption of new marketing services offering.
  • Work cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to facilitate the deployment of existing product “grow” email campaigns and other projects.
  • Assist in crafting messaging strategies and campaign assets tailored to segmented SMB and/or Enterprise operators.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to streamline customer outreach and create a steady pipeline for upselling products.

Phase 3: Campaign Execution & Performance Analysis

  • Launch and monitor marketing campaign, tracking key performance metrics.
  • Conduct A/B testing on different messaging, offers, and outreach strategies to optimize engagement.
  • Gather insights from customer interactions, introductory calls, and feedback loops to refine messaging and campaign effectiveness.
  • Present key findings, campaign performance, and learnings to the marketing team at the end of the internship.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in digital marketing, branding, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media, SEO, or paid advertising platforms is a plus.

 

Program Details:

 

  • $21.00/hour
  • Program Dates: May 27th – August 7th
