Description

General Purpose:

The Marketing Operations Specialist serves the operational needs of the Marketing department. This includes, but is not limited to, helping keep projects, community initiatives and day-to-day workflows organized and moving forward. This role coordinates marketing operations, community partnerships and events, insights gathering, social media administration and communication with Ardent branches. This role requires a highly organized, responsive, independent worker who is comfortable working across departments to consistently execute plans.

Essential Functions:

1. Coordinate community partnerships, sponsorship activations and outreach initiatives that support Ardent growth, visibility and community-impact goals.

2. Serve as a primary Marketing liaison to branch teams by coordinating requests, communicating campaigns and promotions and supporting consistent execution.

3. Plan and execute community events, financial education programs and workshops, including logistics, staffing, materials, communications and post-event follow-up.

4. Publish approved content across social media channels and monitor comments and direct messages, responding or routing items as appropriate.

5. Coordinate Marketing projects, schedules, deliverables and follow-up, helping the department prioritize work, meet deadlines and understand project status.

6. Coordinate the review and approval of marketing materials through established compliance workflows and document approvals.

7. Contribute ideas and content for Ardent social media channels in collaboration with content and creative team members.

8. Manage the company store, including product selection, inventory, vendor coordination, order fulfillment and expense tracking.

9. Support vendor administration, including onboarding, scheduling and ongoing coordination with internal partners.

10. Support the implementation of brand standards, campaign materials and member-facing initiatives across Ardent branches.

11. Coordinate member surveys and other feedback initiatives, including project logistics, response collection and summary reporting.

12. Contribute to competitive analysis, market research and fee analysis.

13. Maintain department calendars, project records, procedures and other operational functions.

14. Track the Marketing budget and provide regular updates.

15. Perform other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Job Requirements (Knowledge/Abilities):

1. Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, stakeholders, dependencies and deadlines.

2. Ability to plan and execute events, sponsorship activations, workshops and community initiatives with careful attention to logistics and participant experience.

3. Knowledge of social media platforms, publishing tools and community-management practices.

4. Working knowledge of marketing operations, vendor coordination and compliance-review processes.

5. Ability to establish practical workflows, maintain accurate records and follow projects through completion with limited supervision.

6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, community partners, vendors, volunteers and members of the public.

7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for branch employees, internal partners and external audiences.

8. Strong attention to detail, initiative, resourcefulness and sound judgment, including the ability to identify issues and escalate them appropriately.

9. Ability to represent Ardent professionally and support consistent application of the credit union brand across locations, events and communication channels.

Job Requirements (Education/Experience):

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

2. Minimum three years of experience in marketing operations, project coordination, community relations, event and sponsorship management or a related discipline required; experience in financial services or another regulated industry preferred.

3. Experience coordinating projects, budgets, vendors and events and working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders required.

4. Hands-on experience with social media account management, project-management, and survey or research tools preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required, primarily during busier community event periods in the spring and fall. The position also requires extended computer use, local travel and the ability to lift and move event materials and other moderately heavy items.
