Position Overview:   

The purpose of the Web/Content/Visual Creator Intern is to assist the marketing department with consistent on-brand design, messaging, and content creation for CNS Companies and affiliates, as well as all future transportation-related endeavors, and strengthen the position of all companies as a top-of-mind resource for the transportation industry nationwide.

The Web/Content/Visual Creator Intern will collaborate with the Marketing team, Vice President of Business Development, and other team members to plan and execute new media campaigns, strategic and promotional programs, and public relations outreach that will result in increased awareness of the safety consulting firm, insurance agency, driver training and health services.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

This position will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to support the Marketing Department with web content management, email marketing efforts, and social media presence.
  • Support with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts through website keywords and mapping.
  • Create and maintain a schedule for all web content and email marketing to be updated and changed periodically.
  • Work with other marketing team members on idea generation, new direction for content, content creation and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with operations team for creating content based upon new regulations, client needs, upcoming events, etc.
  • Social Media Content Management
  • Support Marketing Director and Marketing Specialist with daily tasks.

  • Knowledge of Web Design/content management
  • WordPress Knowledge (preferred)
  • Entry level design and development skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe CC Programs including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects
  • Graphic Design Knowledge
  • Video Editing Knowledge
  • Advanced writing skills (high level of grammar and proofreading abilities)

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and standard office software such as Microsoft Office and company-specific CRM systems.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree or higher level of education, preferably in RTF, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Knowledge or experience with WordPress and Adobe CC Programs and/or a willingness to learn
  • Portfolio and/or Demo Reel of any previous work

Compensation:

Non-exempt; Hourly ($18/hr)

Salary Description
$18 per hour
