The Marketing Coordinator supports the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives that advance the mission, programs, and brand of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP). This role contributes to the organization’s digital presence through social media content creation, community engagement, website maintenance, copywriting, and email marketing.
Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team and cross-functional partners, the Marketing Coordinator helps create compelling content that inspires participation, strengthens audience engagement, promotes programs and events, and elevates awareness of the Girl Scout experience. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented communicator who is comfortable working across digital platforms, has a strong understanding of social media trends, and is passionate about connecting audiences to GSEP’s mission.
This position works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team and colleagues across GSEP to support organizational marketing and communications priorities. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance planned content with emerging opportunities, and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll help bring the GSEP brand and mission to life across digital channels through creative, engaging, and timely content. You’ll create and manage social media content, engage with online audiences, maintain and update website content, write and edit marketing communications, and support email campaigns and integrated marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate across GSEP to promote programs, events, membership, fundraising, and organizational priorities while monitoring digital performance, identifying emerging trends, and helping strengthen audience engagement across platforms.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, digital content creation, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Experience creating digital content, including social media graphics, short-form video, and reels.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms, website content management systems, and digital publishing tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with colleagues and external audiences.
• Curiosity about digital marketing trends, audience engagement, and emerging communications tools.
• Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva; Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram Edits, and experience with video editing and photography is highly desirable.
