JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective: 

The Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the marketing team, supporting all major functions of the department and providing insight, analysis, guidance, and recommended marketing tactics to support all departments of the Bank for both internal and external stakeholders. 

This is a dynamic and multifaceted position that engages with a multitude of stakeholders across the bank to achieve success. This interaction involves campaign planning, data analysis, creation and assessment of information gathering systems and a keen desire to work to build a brand that differentiates the bank based upon the unique value we deliver to our customers. 

Responsible for coordination of marketing activities to implement the marketing strategy and plans, including market research, media planning, social media management, advertising, promotional activities, public relations, product development, event management; and ensuring the compliance of all marketing activities.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Interpret data and generate reports to inform marketing strategies and campaign performance.
  • Assist in managing the marketing budget, including paid media, sponsorships, donations, and events.
  • Support the creation, monitoring, and refreshing of marketing materials across all channels, including branch communication channels.

Event & Engagement Coordination

  • Plan and execute internal and external events, including trade shows and community activities.
  • Implement systems to measure event tracking, success and engagement.
  • Promote events and initiatives via social media and other digital platforms.

Data & Analytics

  • Leverage customer databases to support marketing list management, campaign executing and reporting.
  • Prepare data-driven reports for executive leadership and align findings with industry trends.
  • Develop systems for data collection from internal and external sources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with departments to identify unique marketing initiatives to support their goals and objectives, while ensuring brand consistency and alignment with core values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to improve processes and support marketing functions.
  • Assist in vendor selection and management based on predefined criteria.

Communications & Content Development

  • Prepare presentations, memoranda, and marketing pitches for internal and external audiences.
  • Support employee engagement and community development initiatives that reinforce brand identity.

Qualifications for Marketing Coordinator

Marketing & Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create presentations, marketing materials, and internal communications.
  • Comfortable promoting content across social media and digital platforms.

Data & Analytics

  • Proficient in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources.
  • Skilled in using statistical tools to identify trends and insights.
  • Experience with database management and data visualization.

Project & Event Coordination

  • Ability to plan and execute events, including logistics and post-event analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Ability to work across departments and with external vendors.
  • Experience in vendor selection and relationship management.

Technology & Tools

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing dashboards, and campaign tracking tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with design or analytics software is a plus.

 Work Environment: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

Community Bank has adopted a 40-hour work week. Some flexibility in hours is necessary based on the location assignments, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and must work at least 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. 

Travel: 

Travel for this position is expected to include to travel for meetings, networking events, client visits, branch reviews and other locations as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: 

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

Strong leadership, communication, team facilitation and organizational skills 

Ability to work cross-functionally while motivating, influencing, and leading others 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

Generally, five years of banking or related experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.)
  • Working knowledge with CRM programs
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Advise clients or senior management on the best ways to use provided data
  • Possess search engines, web analytics, and business research tools acumen or the ability and willingness to seek out appropriate training
