Job purpose
The entry-level Marketing Associate position assists with content creation and desktop publishing related assignments, and produces brand-aligned social media graphics. The ideal candidate will also manage pricing structures in our ERP system, handle sales quotes, and monitor market trends for pricing strategies. The Marketing Associate will assist in preparing for trade shows, standardizing marketing materials, and ensuring adherence to pricing policies.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with content creation to include copywriting, social media content, promotional materials, and other mediums.
- Create visually appealing and brand-centric social media graphics for weekly social content.
- Stay up to date with social media and marketing trends and best practices.
- Track relevant metrics using analytics tools, monitor KPIs, and report to management on campaign effectiveness.
- Update customer-facing marketing materials, presentations, and standardizing marketing materials.
- Assist in the preparation of trade shows and industry events.
- Create and maintain customer pricing structure in ERP including customer sales quotes and price lists.
- Provide pricing reports as directed by management.
- Monitor the market for price fluctuations.
- Gather and report on competitive pricing information.
- Ensure employees follow the established pricing policies.
- Manage rebate agreements, calculate earned rebates and coordinate payment.
- Maintain sales rebate agreements, contacts, and expense approval records.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all pricing functionality in ERP system.
- Issue special quotes and monitor quote activity to ensure customer compliance.
- Participate in the research and validation of price discrepancies.
- Assist in sales order entry as required.
- Analyze data for quality improvement processes.
- Manage document control as required by ISO.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 0-5 years of experience in Marketing and/or Advertising
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Experience with social media marketing on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Results-oriented and solution-focused with a problem-solving attitude
- Self-motivated, strong desire to learn and can work with a sense of urgency.
- Understanding of brand management and ability to design within the confines of corporate brand requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities and this position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours.
- Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
