Position Overview

The Marketing and Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and implementing marketing programs and social media campaigns that promote the company’s brand, products, and services.  This role supports both traditional and digital marketing efforts to increase visibility, engagement, and aligning social strategies with broader marketing goals.   This role combines creativity with analytics to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and social media strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, creates, and implements marketing programs and social media campaigns that promote the company’s brand, products, and services.  
  • Develops and implements comprehensive social media strategies across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).  
  • Develops strategy and content for collateral pieces highlighting the Company’s products and services. 
  • Participates in the development of new marketing strategies which may be useful in the overall strategic plan; researches, tests, and introduces to the public new marketing ideas in order to assess the degree to which the company is satisfying customer needs.        
  • Monitors social trends, audience behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. 
  • Analyzes performance data and provides actionable insights to optimize content, engagement, and ROI (when applicable).
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and structures which support the execution of company-wide and regional marketing efforts, in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner.  
  • Manages paid social media campaigns in collaboration with digital marketing teams or external partners.
  • Engages with online communities, respond to messages and comments, and build relationships with followers.
  • Creates and manages content calendars that support campaigns, product launches, customer statements, financial center signage and company initiatives.
  • Coordinates sales and customer service activities, including the monthly sales and promotional calendar. 
  • Collaborates with content creators, designers, and videographers to produce engaging visual and written content.

 Ancillary Duties

  • Performs tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

 Education & Qualifications

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing or a related field of study preferred or equivalent work experience in Marketing.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.
  • Experience with paid socials and A/B testing, an understanding of SEO and social media’s impact on discoverability, working knowledge of CRM systems and email marketing tools, influencer/partnership marketing, and crisis communication for PR-sensitive situations preferred. 
  • Deep understanding of platform algorithms, best practices, and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment required.

Skill(s)

Knowledge of marketing principles and marketing programs; strong copywriting and visual skills; deep knowledge of major social media platforms; proficient in using analytics tools; skilled at engaging with followers, responding professionally to comments and DMs; able to respond to messages in brand voice  and able to monitor and interpret brand sentiment and user feedback; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills; ability to adopt new technologies and systems to accomplish marketing and communication goals; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills; valid driver's license.
