Marketing and Communications Coordinator

SUMMARY: The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the creation and implementation of Esperanza Health Center’s (EHC) comprehensive communications strategy for its diverse group of stakeholders, including patients, employees, customers, churches, partners, donors, and the local community. Reporting to the Director of Development, this individual will develop content aligned with EHC's mission, services, and impact, and facilitate its delivery through multiple communication channels. 

Full time - 40 hours per week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities. 

  • Ensures that EHC communications and brand identity are consistent across all EHC departments, locations, and internal and external communications channels.

  • Update website content and monitor the effectiveness of EHC’s website in providing relevant information to its multiple audiences.

  • Develop content for and coordinate the distribution of EHC’s monthly eNews and Message of Hope newsletter.

  • Track metrics for all marketing and communications, including monitoring Google Analytics, Constant Contact, social media platforms, and other reporting data.

  • Develop and implement EHC’s social media content (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn/YouTube) on an ongoing basis and maintain the social media schedule.

  • Work with the Director of Business Planning to implement marketing and communications strategies and campaigns for The CORE Fitness, Café, event space, and new services.

  • Create marketing materials to support employee recruitment efforts for the Human Resources department.

  • Create internal and external communications materials (fliers, signs, digital TV,  video, etc.) in support of multiple departments at EHC to communicate with patients, visitors, and staff effectively; ensure that materials remain current; and, manage printing, distribution, and use.

  • Support conferences and special events held at EHC through the creation of signage, presentations, and coordination.

  • Provide writing and editing support for constituent communications, including targeted donor appeals and thank you correspondence.

  • Facilitate the creation and distribution of press releases, draft talking points for speakers, and assist in the coordination of press conferences.  

 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works collaboratively in harmonious partnership with health center staff and volunteers across all departments to effectively communicate EHC’s mission, programs, and services.

  • Favorably represents Christ and His mission at EHC, both within and outside the health center.

  • Adheres to health center policies and procedures and the regulations of governing agencies as appropriate, conducting business with the highest level of ethics and integrity.

  • Seeks timely reconciliation with others following biblical principles when wronged or after doing wrong to someone else. 

 EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred with emphasis in communications, marketing, graphic design, and/or journalism.

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in marketing or communications in a professional setting.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to provide Spanish language communications and translate content into Spanish is preferred, but not required.

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Social media fluency (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn), etc.

  • Familiarity with electronic media software, including Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop), Canva, WordPress, Constant Contact, and others.

  • Graphic design, photography, and videography skills are a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.

  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to EHC’s mission and vision.

  • Professional demeanor; ability to represent EHC well when interacting with the public through all forms of communication.

  • Excellent cultural competence.

  • Driver’s license and/or adequate availability for regular local travel, evening and weekend work for events and donor contacts.

 WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Lift 10-20 lbs.

  • Sit at a desk doing computer and telephone work for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to walk around EHC sites, climb stairs, and move around the buildings.

  • Be able to work some nights and weekends.
