Purpose

The Manager, Event Marketing will lead the planning and execution of our presence at industry conferences, trade shows, and internal events. This role is critical to ensuring that every touchpoint—booth design, branded swag, onsite meetings, and handouts—reflects our brand, engages our target audience, and sets us apart from the competition.

This role will report to the VP, Corporate Strategy and Marketing and work closely across internal teams to bring event goals to life and ensure flawless execution. He or she will manage logistics from start to finish, develop innovative and engaging event ideas, and work closely with vendors to ensure every event runs seamlessly. Expect to travel to 12+ events annually, with additional support for flagship internal events at our company headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition, this role will provide support for other marketing priorities as needed, such as campaign planning, vendor management, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Industry event, tradeshow, and professional conference support: Leads, manages, and implements PANTHERx’s participation at external events. These activities include registration, vendor coordination, shipping, booth selection and design, manufacturer meeting coordination and other needs that will advance our brand and new growth opportunities with manufacturers. 
  • Ensures our brand stands out at events through high-impact booth experiences, compelling handouts, memorable giveaways, and strong onsite coordination. 
  • Manages timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, on-brand, and on-budget delivery of all event elements.
  • Coordinates cross-functional alignment with business development, prescriber relations, marketing, and executive teams to schedule customer meetings, prep materials, and align messaging.  
  • Owns post-event reporting and follow-up, capturing performance metrics, documenting learnings, and optimizing processes for future events.
  • Supports select, highly visible internal events such as sales kickoffs, leadership summits, or on-site manufacturer meetings to ensure a polished and professional experience.
  • In addition to event responsibilities, this role may also spend a small portion of their time (<20%) providing project management support for high-priority marketing initiatives outside of events, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables stay on track.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in event marketing, trade show coordination, or experiential marketing, preferably in B2B or healthcare.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with a strong track record of logistical excellence.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver with strong vendor management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (12+ events/year).
  • High level of independent judgment, individual initiative, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical and consistent.
  • Strong relationship builder and influencer, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, align stakeholders, and drive consensus in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with pharma manufacturers, physicians, patients, and health plans.
  • Comfort with AI tools and willingness to experiment

Work Environment

This position works in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel is required to support industry events – up to 30-40% travel.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will need the ability to lift and transport event materials, assist with booth setup and teardown, and manage shipping logistics as needed during on-site event execution. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading and working with various forms of data on a screen.
