Marketing & Sales Internship

Main Line Today is offering a summer internship opportunity for college students interested in gaining valuable experience in marketing projects, event management, and sales support. The intern reports to the Marketing Director. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, (written and verbal), general computer skills, is familiar with the Main Line & western suburbs region, and available to work from the Paoli, PA office. The role will allow for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, event planning and execution, and business development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the coordination of all marketing-related efforts.
• Process information for mailings or promotions.
• Communicate with sponsors, clients, and prospects on upcoming signature events.
• Help with planning all upcoming events.
• Attend and assist at regional events.
• Help identify new event opportunities to build brand awareness.
• Research and investigate new social media initiatives related to our overall marketing efforts and goals.
• Work on promoting events in the surrounding communities.
• Help develop and fulfill marketing campaigns.
• Sales team support.

• Strong communication skills-written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, Canva, and general computer skills.
• Available to work occasional weeknights (early evenings), especially the last week of July.
• Rising college senior.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to self-transport.
• Ability to carry/lift/move up to 40 lbs.
• 3.0 or higher GPA.
• Have a solid understanding and interest in marketing and business development.

schedule details:

Summer schedule, Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, June through early August.

During their time, interns will work collaboratively with marketing on special events and varied marketing and sales projects. Interns are expected to adhere to a weekly schedule.
