    •   Effective December 2025, a vacancy for a Long-Term Substitute (LTS) Secondary Guidance Counselor currently exists within the Division of Career, Technical & Customized Education at the TCHS Brandywine Campus in Downingtown, PA.  This position is anticipated to begin in December 2025.

    Qualifications:
    • PA Certification in Secondary Guidance required 
    • Masters in School Counseling required
    • Experience and Knowledge in Career and Technical Education preferred 
    • Current police, child abuse, & FBI Fingerprint clearances required

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans
    • Oversee student scheduling, report cards, transcripts and other school records
    • Work in conjunction with parents and students in their search for higher education
    • Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary
    • Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers
    • Participate in Student Assistance Program (SAP). Respond to crisis situations when appropriate

    Salary 2025-26 School Year:
    • $65,394 to $100,586- Master's Degree
    • $68,403 to $104,546- Master's +15
    • $69,938 to $106,442 - Masters + 30
    *placement is based on related counselor experience and will be pro-rated based on length of the assignment


    Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7.5 hours/day
