Job Title: Field Sales & Marketing Specialist
Department: Omnichannel – Mobile Hit Lab
Reports to: MHL Manager
Location: Orange County, CA Region
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range- $60k-$62k plus commission
General Overview: The Field Sales and Marketing Specialist will be responsible for activating event-based sales / bat demos and selling product through Mobile Hit Lab. In addition, this team member will be responsible for coordinating field demos for new and existing Easton/Rawlings Baseball and Softball Products. This position will also assist the Easton/Rawlings Product and Brand teams with player feedback, social media support, and product insights.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implementing plans to achieve high results in sales and customer service expectations set forth by the director of Retail – Omnichannel.
- Leads the coordination and organization of the grass roots event schedule and activation. Attends events and sells product, onsite, to players, parents, and coaches.
- Develops strong local relationships with influencers, travel organizations, tournament directors, and coaches to routinely test/promote Easton/Rawlings product in the field.
- Assists the Mobile Hit Lab manager and the Category Management teams to develop reports and surveys to effectively report and organize player feedback.
- Assists other in-market operations as needed (brand store / D-BAT / territory rep) on an as needed basis.
- Works with Category Management teams to assist in product development initiatives and timelines with valuable on-field product insights.
- Assists the Sales/Marketing team with Easton/Rawlings Mobile Hit Lab objectives – brand storytelling, and sales driving initiatives
- Partner with brand marketing to execute on site activations, ensuring visual merchandising standards are upheld.
- Responsible for inventory management including stocktakes & cycle counts.
- Ensuring all inventory is kept securely and accurately reflected in the retail POS software.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities on an as needed basis as set forth by the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or 2 to 4 years of related experience.
- Extensive relationship building and experience with Travel Baseball and Softball.
- Ability to travel and work from the road approximately 50% of the year.
- High level of organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, co-workers, and authorities, along with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly understand challenges and concerns and develop resolutions.
- Work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
- Exercise high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions: Physical surroundings are generally indoor and outdoor, pleasant, and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Some physical effort required; setup and tear down activities of company marketing tools. Typically seated or standing with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Extensive travel.
