NewEdge Capital Group is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to lead our premium event programming and strategic sponsorship initiatives. This role will be responsible for creating and executing exceptional experiences for elite financial advisors while developing and managing valuable partnerships with industry sponsors.

Ideal candidates would be located near Stamford, Pittsburgh, or New Orleans and work in hybrid capacity. Remote candidates considered.

 

Job Summary:

The Event Marketing Manager will serve as the primary internal resource and strategic partner for NewEdge Capital Group's destination conferences and meetings. Working closely with Marketing Directors across the organization, this role will provide expert guidance and coordination to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of all events. The position will also establish and nurture relationships with potential sponsors, creating mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance our events while generating additional revenue streams.

This role requires excellence in matrix leadership, as success depends on the ability to guide and influence without direct reporting relationships. The Event & Sponsorship Marketing Manager will work through existing marketing and support staff structures, providing direction and expertise while respecting established team dynamics.

 

Responsibilities:

Event Management

  • Partner with Marketing Directors to plan and coordinate high-end destination conferences, events, and meetings tailored for elite financial advisors and/or their clients.
  • Guide and support marketing team members in executing event logistics including venue selection, contract negotiation, budget management, and vendor coordination
  • Serve as an internal consultant to ensure consistent event quality and execution across all business units
  • Develop and document best practices, templates, and standard operating procedures for event execution
  • Create and maintain detailed project timelines, production schedules, and event documentation that can be effectively delegated to marketing and support staff
  • Provide expertise and oversight while working through existing team structures to ensure seamless event execution
  • Coach and mentor marketing team members on event management best practices and efficient execution strategies

 

Sponsorship Management

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy for NewEdge Capital Group events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential sponsors, including asset management firms, fintech companies, and research firms
  • Create attractive sponsorship packages and opportunities that align with sponsor objectives while enhancing event value
  • Manage the full sponsorship lifecycle from prospecting and proposal development through contract execution and fulfillment
  • Track and report on sponsorship revenue and ROI metrics

 

Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Collaborate with leadership to align event and sponsorship strategies with overall business objectives
  • Develop and manage event and sponsorship budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation
  • Assist with communications to event attendees pre, during, and post events and manage registrations
  • Analyze event metrics and gather feedback to improve programming and sponsorship offerings continuously
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in both event management and sponsorship marketing

 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Events Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate event planning and execution, preferably in financial services or professional services
  • Proven track record of managing highend corporate events and conferences through matrix organizations
  • Experience leading and influencing without direct reporting relationships
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing sponsorship programs
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively with Clevel executives and high-performing professionals
  • Excellence in vendor contract negotiation and budget management
  • Outstanding project management and organizational capabilities
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive results across multiple stakeholder groups

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with financial advisors or in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of financial services industry sponsors and partnerships
  • Proven success in generating sponsorship revenue
  • Experience with event management and CRM software
  • Industry certifications in event planning or project management

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 based upon expereince
