Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the direction, control, and administration of NewAge Industries’ sales and marketing processes. This position will assist in developing strategic solutions and marketing strategies, motivating others to excel and building a high-performance team focused on solution selling and relationship building.  As a member of the NewAge Leadership team, you will guide the company in achieving its mission and continue the strong focus on NewAge’s growth potential.  

 Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage key sales infrastructure, including implementing efficient processes, sales forecasting/strategies, and staff training to drive                 pipeline build, opportunity qualification, close rate, and support revenue growth.
  • Lead the marketing strategy for NewAge which includes the establishment of successful channel and partner programs. 
  • Inspire, coach, train, and teach sales team and others.  Build strong relationships with customers/vendors, peers, and team members/leaders.
  • Provide input to all other departments as to requirements of sales to meet company sales objectives. 
  • Develop department budgetary requirements. 
  • Provide sales forecast as required for the ESOP 5-year planning process – and update/communicate the forecast on a quarterly basis
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. 
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Engineering and R&D to expand current products and develop new products and services for current and         future markets.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company departments
  • Partner with the Director of Manufacturing Development to grow NewAge’s “close to the customer” strategy
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with all team leaders and their respective departments in particular Manufacturing and Supply Chain

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of senior sales management experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience working with distributors from various countries and cultures.
  • Experience managing a domestic and international distribution network. 
  • Experience with the Sandler sales system a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to sell solutions, identify and solve complex customer solutions.
  • Knowledge of marketing processes, systems, and tactics
  • Interact and build relationships with Team Leaders and other NewAge departments.
  • Work, support and share with others to succeed as a team.
  • Set self-ambitious and demanding targets while enjoying the thrill of successfully overcoming difficult challenges.
  • Possess the ability to understand and analyze complex issues and problems and come up with solutions.
  • Technical understanding and ability to understand drawings and expectations.
  • Strong project management skills (managing projects and teams from start to finish).
