About the Position
The Director of Enterprise Architecture & Digital Platforms leads the strategic design, development, and governance of the company’s digital and integration platforms. This role defines the architectural vision that connects customer-facing experiences with core enterprise systems ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence across the technology landscape. This leader oversees the Commerce Cloud development and MuleSoft integration teams, driving cohesive architecture across eCommerce, mobile, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms. The role partners closely with business, IT, and marketing leaders to align technology strategy with brand and business priorities, enabling seamless and secure customer experiences across all touchpoints.
A day in the life…
Leadership & Enterprise Architecture Strategy
Define and own the enterprise architecture roadmap that bridges digital platforms, enterprise systems, and data ecosystems.
Translate business strategy into architectural blueprints that guide scalable, secure, and high-performing technology investments.
Champion architectural governance, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and compliance requirements.
Serve as the senior technology advisor to business leaders across Digital, Marketing, IT, and Customer Engagement.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of developers and architects, fostering innovation and accountability.
Platform Ownership & Digital Systems
Lead the development, optimization, and modernization of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, mobile app platforms, and related digital infrastructure.
Ensure platform reliability, extensibility, and performance in alignment with omnichannel customer experience goals.
Partner with internal and external teams to maintain world-class digital performance, uptime, and scalability.
Oversee DevOps and CI/CD pipelines supporting digital delivery, automation, and continuous improvement.
Integration Architecture & Middleware (MuleSoft)
Lead enterprise integration strategy, leveraging MuleSoft and related tools to ensure secure, scalable, and reusable connectivity across business systems.
Develop and enforce API-led architecture standards that enable system interoperability and reduce complexity.
Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate digital, ERP, CRM, POS, and data environments into a unified ecosystem.
Champion data flow transparency, real-time integration, and best-in-class middleware practices.
Security, Compliance, & Governance
Ensure all digital and integration platforms meet SOX, PCI, and data privacy requirements.
Partner with OXM IT and Security teams to maintain robust identity, access, and encryption standards.
Conduct architecture reviews and security assessments to proactively identify risks and ensure audit readiness.
Innovation & Future State
Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, composable commerce, headless architecture, automation) for enterprise adoption.
Drive a roadmap of innovation that enhances customer engagement, operational agility, and data-driven decision-making.
Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize and pilot new technology capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
Act as the connective tissue between digital commerce, OXM IT, marketing, and data teams to ensure technology investments support business growth.
Lead architecture discussions that balance innovation with practicality and compliance.
Represent the architecture function within senior leadership forums, driving alignment across all digital initiatives.
This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications for the Position
A four-year college degree is required, preferably with a major/minor in Computer Science or Information Systems.
15+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise or solution architecture functions.
Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (digital development, integration, or platform engineering).
Deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, and API-led integration strategies.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and modern DevOps methodologies.
Demonstrated success in implementing secure, compliant systems that meet SOX and PCI standards.
Experience building and governing architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across business and technical teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision and near-term execution.

A Little More to Know…
This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime. This position is eligible for standard company benefits.
This position is remote based, with some travel required to our home office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Travel needs will be determined by your supervisor.
The position requires some domestic travel.
Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods.
This position is expected to collaborate effectively with other individuals in alignment with our Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities.
