About the opportunity:

If you are passionate about making a difference, we are looking for a Director, Marketing Communications. This role is responsible for accelerating Centinel Spine’s business through a focus on brand communications, direct-to-patient marketing, and market development initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President, Marketing and Product Development.  Prefer candidates local to West Chester, PA for 2-3 days in-office per week.  

 

Where you will make an impact: 

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive short and long-term strategic marketing plan for the company’s direct-to-patient and market development programs.  The strategic marketing plan includes development of campaigns and initiatives directed not to only the patient, but also to the surgeon in order to drive patient volume in a surgeon practice.
  • Lead the execution of the direct-to-patient and market development plans across multiple channels, including traditional (print ads, collateral, etc.) as well as digital (website, digital media, search, etc.). Develop materials, tools and data in collaboration with Centinel Spine’s Market Develop Manager team.
  • Drive execution of the direct-to-patient marketing plan through management of external agencies and vendors. Work with external partners to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tactical projects.  Lead and navigate the internal/external review and approval process for projects.
  • Provide the tools and training to the internal sales team to effectively communicate to both distributors and surgeons the value of direct-to-patient and market practice development programs developed by the company. 
  • Measure the results/ROI of direct-to-patient and market development programs through the development of a metric-based dashboard.  Dashboard to be maintained, updated, and presented to senior management on consistent, periodic basis.
  • Work cross-functionally with Market Development Managers, Product Management, Sales teams, Public Relations agencies, Advertising agencies, and various other vendors to ensure timely execution of the marketing plan.
  • Develop and manage annual budget(s) related to direct-to-patient and market development programs.
  • Lead and support the development of the rediscover patient platform, including promoting the program and development of the website, surgeon locator, patient ambassadors, patient blogs, etc.
  • Lead and support social media related to direct-to-patient marketing program.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ marketing experience.  Medical device or Pharma direct-to-patient marketing experience preferred.
  • Created and executed components of comprehensive global/regional marketing plans.
  • Effectively worked with both direct and indirect sales force to achieve results.
  • Implemented elements of brand positioning strategies the resulted in incremental demand for product.
  • Effectively executed communications and promotional campaigns (traditional, digital, social media).
  • Performed quantitative analysis to guide global/regional performance and decision making.
  • Experienced in reporting to Executive Management status of corporate objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and escalate challenges appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others diplomatically, and effectively, on challenging subject matter.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications skills.  Should be able to adapt communications style to suit different audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt to constant changes in workflows.

 

Where you will go:

  • Prefer local to West Chester, PA for 2-3 days in-office per week. 
  • Ability to travel 25% as needed.
