POSITION SUMMARY:The Director, Corporate Partnerships will focus on generating revenue for the Philadelphia Phillies through marketing partnerships with local, regional, national, and international brands. Qualified candidates will understand the marketing goals and objectives of potential new and current Phillies partners, with the ability to demonstrate how a Phillies partnership can achieve those goals and objectives. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated solution providers with a demonstrated ability to sell and activate marketing partnerships for brands. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy active listening, creative ideation and strategic thinking in the development of unique, goal-driven relationships with brand decision-makers across a variety of Phillies assets
- Present, negotiate, and close marketing investments to the Phillies across new as well as assigned current partners
- Achieve/Exceed individual revenue goals on an annual basis
- Work with Partnership Marketing team to develop strategy, approach and platform identification in correlation to prospective and current partner wants and needs
- Collaborate with other departments to customize partnership opportunities for prospects and renew partners
- Provide regular accountability of prospecting and selling activities
- Actively participate in the execution of sold partnerships where needed to ensure delivery of agreed-upon sponsorship assets
- Attend games and other events to support the execution of partnerships and establish and grow personal relationships with team partners
- Special projects/other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5-7 years of successful sales and business development experience for a sports or entertainment company
- Strong sales acumen and proven prospecting and selling skills
- Existing relationships with brands and agencies currently investing in sports marketing
- Ability to create and negotiate customized partnership proposals
- Relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Ability to manage multiple tasks against deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
