    Cape Henlopen School District is seeking a passionate and innovative educator to serve as a Digital Communications Technology Pathway Teacher at the secondary level. This position supports the District'scommitment that Every student is an engaged learner and Every student graduates future ready. The Digital Communications Technology Pathway Teacher will provide rigorous, hands-on instruction aligned to Delaware Career & Technical Education standards. Through project-based learning and authentic applications, students will develop technical expertise, creativity, collaboration skills, and professional habits essential for success in postsecondary education and careers in digital media and communications.

     

    Requirements

    • Must hold State of Delaware initial or continuing license
    • Must hold State of Delaware certification as a Teacher of Technology Education, Grades K-12
    • Student teaching on a transcript

       

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Deliver instruction aligned to the Delaware CTE Digital Communications Technology Pathway
    • Facilitate engaging, real-world learning experiences in areas such as digital media production, graphic design, video and audio production, web design, and digital marketing
    • Prepare students for industry-recognized credentials and work-based learning experiences
    • Integrate industry-standard tools and software, including multimedia production and design platforms
    • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom and lab environment
    • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, industry partners, and advisory committees to continuously improve the pathway
    • Use data and formative assessment practices to ensure high levels of student achievement
