Essential Functions 

• Support the VP of Marketing & Communications in executing a strategy that aligns audience and key messages against calendar and budget commitments.
• Review and field Production and Strategy Consultation Requests, prioritizing with the VP of Marketing & Communications, and overseeing the Marketing email to ensure timely communication about the status of requests.
• Maintain and oversee the M&C Work Plan on the Monday platform, ensuring it remains up to date.
• Maintain up-to-date information and content on the website and liaise with contractors as needed.
• Maintain the Canva account organized and promptly review design approval requests from programs.
• Responsible for the graphic design and production of flyers, banners, digital screen graphics, street banners, newspaper ads, and other creative materials that support events, programs, and organizational campaigns.
• Submit creative for all internal customers to Impacto newspaper weekly, following production deadlines.  

Produce core agency promotional materials to represent Esperanza, including brochures, capability statements, orientation materials, toolkits, success story videos, and annual impact reports.
• Support M&C event production as needed and ensure all marketing materials are organized and stored in designated areas, such as the storage room or marketing closet.
• Upload and disseminate press releases and media advisories and coordinate their distribution with the VP of Marketing & Communications across various channels.
• Ensure marketing-related documents and passwords are consistently organized, filed, and backed up, and accessible company-wide, identifying materials that require updates or archiving.
• Capture in-house photography and videography.
• Ensure event tabling materials and core agency materials in visual displays and screens are well-stocked and current, and that flyers across the Esperanza campus are updated weekly.
• Produce engaging, informative, and promotional social media content that supports brand recognition, fundraising, engagement, attendance, and enrollment goals.
• Respond to tags, comments, and collaboration invitations promptly, as needed.
•Comply with Esperanza’s policies and procedures in daily activities.
• Maintain a current shared file of hashtags and handles for board members, company executives, and key partners, stakeholders, and funders as needed. 

• Oversee and execute additional projects as assigned. 


Status 

  • Staff, full-time, salaried, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Excellent proofreading skills with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors.
• Demonstrates initiative, works independently with minimal supervision, and consistently follows through on responsibilities.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

• Familiarity with marketing strategies tailored to Hispanic audiences.
• Ability to communicate with a consistent and culturally informed voice.
• Knowledgeable in data analysis and able to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and online advertising.
• Working knowledge of web design and email marketing tools.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Hootsuite, Smartsheet, Avid, WordPress, and other relevant tools.
• Able to foster collaboration across departments & work effectively with colleagues and partners
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through professional and respectful interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture high-quality content for events, campaigns, and digital platforms.
• Experience supporting event production, including setup, coordination, materials preparation, and onsite marketing execution.

Work Environment 

  • Work occurs primarily indoors in a professional environment with moderate background noise and consistent temperature; work may occasionally occur outdoors for events. 
  • The schedule may require occasional working of non-traditional hours, such as weekends and evenings, as necessitated. 
  • Travel between locations may be required. Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

Accountability and Oversight  

  1. Reports to: Vice President of Marketing and Communications.  
  2. Supervises: Consultants/vendors, interns, and volunteers as appropriate in collaboration with the VP of Marketing & Communications.
