The Corporate Communications Manager develops and executes internal and external communication strategies that align with the organization’s mission, brand identity, and business priorities. This role serves as a strategic partner across departments, builds and protects the corporate brand, supports leadership visibility, manages organizational change communications, and fosters engagement through thoughtful, consistent, and authentic messaging.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement communications-related policies and procedures that support proper representation of the organization’s corporate identity and mission.
Lead corporate thought leadership efforts related to the definition and amplification of the organization’s voice across internal and external platforms.
Responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of multi-channel internal communications programs that align employees with corporate strategy, values, and goals.
Develop and lead the execution of (in partnership with the creative, human resources, and leadership teams) storytelling initiatives that highlight corporate values, culture, and strategic direction across visual media, video, audio, and written content.
Establish communication governance structures, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and brand standards across all platforms.
Fully own the structure of and content within the company intranet site; ensures clear communication, ease of navigation, and relevance of content.
Manage the messaging efforts for the entire BIL corporate website. This includes the development of content, maintenance of existing content, and directing the creative execution of the website to provide a consistent, brand-appropriate experience for visitors.
Support the executive team and other staff with intranet content creation and promotion to improve engagement; monitor engagement proactively and realign strategy as needed.
Create and deliver presentations for internal and external meetings and events.
Partner with the leadership team and human resources department to support organizational change initiatives with thoughtful and well-planned communication.
Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of the organization’s priorities, initiatives, milestones, and community building efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
Analyze communication metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust as needed.
Manage and cultivate relationships with local and national organizations that support our vision through partnerships; represent the organization in a variety of settings, always maintaining professionalism and promoting the company in the best possible way.
Assist with the implementation of corporate social media strategy as needed, ensuring that brand voice is clearly distinguished from product marketing efforts.
Act as a corporate spokesperson and community liaison; this may include responding to media requests in a timely manner, composing press releases, and leading community-building initiatives.

Requirements for this Role:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or strategic communications.
Proven track record developing and executing communications best practices, communication plans, and internal and external materials that effectively engage specific audiences.
Resourceful self-starter who can problem solve and work well both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent writing and editing skills and a passion for creative storytelling.
Possesses functional expertise; can effectively share knowledge, train and coach others, and identify and resolve functional issues.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships, influence others, and give and receive effective feedback. Communicates effectively with both internal and external audiences.
Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to make data-driven decisions, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, delegate, and utilize resources efficiently.
Able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in complex situations; comfortable holding others accountable for the same.
Collaborates well and builds successful relationships with various stakeholders such as the executive team, cross functional teams internally, the media, and the community at large.
