The Center for Community Resources is seeking a Communications & Engagement Specialist to support the development of the agency’s marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This role works collaboratively to share information about services with the community, partner organizations, and provider networks while building and maintaining strong relationships with agencies and foundations. The position also supports event management, public relations initiatives, outreach, and project coordination to promote effective engagement.

The starting salary for this position is $21.54/hr. We also offer a possible higher salary based on experience.

Essential Functions

  • Represent the agency at outreach events and trade conferences.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external communication, marketing, and advertising to enhance and expand the capacity of the agency.
  • Ensure brand integrity both internally and externally on all company-wide and outbound materials.
  • Write and publish press releases and coordinate media requests.
  • Seek outlets to promote the agency which may include but not be limited to sponsorships, tabling events, podcasts, news stories, etc.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for community engagement, partnership development, and increased agency visibility.
  • Co-write and implement marketing plan.
  • Write materials for, and design the layout of, informational and marketing materials.
  • Provide necessary support for identified and assigned projects.
  • Maintain social media and websites for the agency.
  • Support and enhance employee engagement efforts through internal communications, storytelling, and recognition initiatives.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community events, including outreach activities, awareness campaigns, and special initiatives.
  • Gather and share impact stories, testimonials, and program highlights to promote the agency’s services and outcomes.
  • Other duties assigned to support the mission of the agency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. 1 year experience in marketing, public relations, and/or internal communications.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances, Valid Driver’s License, Car Insurance Coverage Verification
  • Ability to confidently present to speak on behalf of the agency. Strong relationship-building skills. Ability to serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for the agency. Ability to co-write and implement marketing plans. Ability to write and design collateral materials. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, Hootsuite, social media platforms, and Photoshop. Strong capability to work independently and to be self-motivated. Outstanding verbal, written, and editing skills. Excellent command of spelling, grammar, and composition. Ability to plan, coordinate, and support events and community engagement activities. Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work an adjusted/flexible schedule as needed due to events occurring outside of normal business hours and potentially on weekends

In addition to marketing/communications experience, at least 1 year of experience in human services/healthcare
