Communications Director
Position Summary
The Communications Director at Lake Naomi Club is responsible for leading the Club’s communication strategy to ensure clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across all member and public-facing platforms. This role plays a critical part in strengthening member engagement, supporting transparency between leadership and membership, and elevating the Club’s brand as a premier private club community.
Working closely with the General Manager/CEO, Board of Trustees, and department leaders, this position ensures that all communications reflect the Club’s values, strategic priorities, and commitment to exceptional member experience
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy for Lake Naomi Club
- Establish and maintain a consistent and professional brand voice across all platforms
- Align communications with the Club’s strategic plan, capital projects, and operational priorities
Content & Channel Management

Oversee creation and distribution of all communications, including:
- Member emails and alerts
- Website content and updates
- Social media platforms
- Print publications, signage, and collateral
- Video and audio content

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of all messaging
Member & Governance Communication
- Support the General Manager with Board and committee communications
- Attend all BOG and BOT committee meetings
- Act as management liaison for the membership committee and other ad hoc task force groups as needed.
- Assist in preparing presentations, updates, and key messaging for membership communications
- Promote transparency and proactive communications on Club initiatives, policies, and projects
Brand & Experience Management
- Protect and enhance the Lake Naomi Club brand across all touchpoints
- Ensure visual and messaging consistency across departments and amenities
- Support storytelling that highlights the Club’s lifestyle, amenities, and community
Media & Community Relations
- Develop relationships with local media, community leaders, and regional influencers
- Manage public relations opportunities and external communications
- Representing the Club at industry events, trade shows, and community functions
Digital Media & Production
- Assist in the creation of video content, member updates, and promotional storytelling

Oversee photography, videography, and multimedia initiatives
Analytics & Performance
- Track engagement across all communication platforms
- Use data and member feedback to refine messaging and delivery methods
- Provide regular performance reports to leadership
Budget & Project Management
- Develop and manage the communications budget
- Coordinate with vendors, designers, and internal teams

Ensure compliance with brand standards and organizational policies
Cross Department Collaboration
- Partner with all departments (golf, racquets, aquatics, F&B, recreation, etc.)
- Ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all operations

Support promotion of events, programs, and capital improvement
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- 4–8+ years of experience in communications, hospitality, or private club environment preferred
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability
- Strong digital media, content creation, and analytics experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, member-focused environment
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required based on Club events and communication needs
