Description

The Communications & Digital Media Specialist supports the overall goals and objectives of Oakmont Country Club with special concentration on communications and social media.

  • Provides support to the Director of Human Resources and Executive Assistant including planning, coordinating presentations, and disseminating information.
  • Draft and coordinate event correspondence and projects in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources and Executive Assistant.
  • Attending and photographing key member and employee events. Organizes and maintains photographs taken at the events.
  • Maintain Oakmont’s Instagram account.
  • Organize and maintain employee photos.
  • Develop and maintain Oakmont brand on recruitment websites, not limited to LinkedIn, Indeed, and Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager, Director of Human Resources and Executive Assistant to ensure the Oakmont website is accurate and updated, as necessary.
  • Develop and coordinate methods to gather employee feedback related to new role training and other areas of measurement.
  • Maintain new hire orientation PowerPoint presentation.
  • Maintain employee informational bulletin boards.
  • Understand and evaluate changes in member, guest and employee needs, club industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate products and services to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Ensure excellent communication and maintain a proactive approach to projects and assigned duties.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor through appearance, adhering to the uniform standards, and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all members, guests, and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related area (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations field
  • Professional expertise and ability to photograph professional, high-quality images.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other related software used for retouching and enhancing images.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Ability to build effective professional working relationships internally and externally.
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality.
  • Ability to maintain confidential employee and club information.
  • Presents him or herself in a manner in keeping with the club's core values and guiding principles.Β 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • May be required to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods to capture images.
