About Us: We’re a worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing youth with the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive through the sport of baseball and softball. We believe in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. We need your skills to help us amplify our impact!
 
What You’ll Do: As our Communications Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our storytelling. You’ll help craft and share the amazing stories of our young athletes, coaches, and volunteers through various channels (social media, email newsletters, website, and more). You'll be the go-to for all things creative, from engaging posts to capturing the energy of our events and programs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  •  Media relations, public relations, content creation, and alumni/volunteer support and recognition.
  • Create and execute communication strategies to elevate our programs and initiatives.
  • Create and manage media distribution lists.
  • Research and target media outlets and journalists consistent with our public relations efforts.
  • Assist with content for our social media presence to keep the community engaged and excited.
  • Design dynamic content – from graphics and photos to videos and blog posts.
  • Support our digital asset management.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to gather and share success stories and highlights.
  • Support marketing efforts for fundraising and community events.
  • Help spread the word of our impact and encourage others to get involved!
  • Represent our brand by performing as our mascot at events or acting as a performer handler.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, or related field required. 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years verifiable work experience in a communications field.
  • Above average knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud products.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • A passion for youth sports and community engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (you know how to get people excited!).
  • Expert command of grammar and AP Style, and ability to follow our brand guidelines.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design (experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools is a plus!).
  • Experience with social media platforms and an understanding of website content management.
  • An enthusiastic go-getter attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks with a smile!
