Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization.  We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.

 

We currently have an opening for a Communications Assistant.


JOB GOAL

Be part of a team that actively shapes the narrative surrounding BHA's activities through engaging multimedia and communication strategies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create content including but not limited to: photography, social media graphics, video, collateral, marketing materials, newsletters, etc.
  • Brainstorm new and creative content ideas.
  • Coordinate schedules with the Director of Communications to provide quality social medial content for BHA programs events and fill the content calendar for consistent posts to social media channels.
  • Travel to multiple BHA locations for in-person coverage of events.
  • Create positive content to promote the work of our organization to the public.
  • Assist the Director of Communications in maintaining the organization's website and other digital presences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, digital media, or related field.
  • Valid PA's Driver's License.
  • Ability to be flexible and creative.
  • Strong interpersonal skill when communicating with administration, stakeholders, staff, students, and external publics.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design, video production, and various multimedia development channels.
  • Strong understanding of good design principles with adherence to brand style guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of what makes "good content" in the current social media space.
  • Strong understanding of good photography and videography principles.
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to make strong content decisions.
  • Basic computer literacy with Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency in relevant Adobe Creative Suite applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, preferred.
  • Ability to share portfolio of relevant projects.
  • Positively represent and promote BHA services to outside organizations. 
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Communicate effectively utilizing both written and oral communications.
