Description

Family First Health is seeking a Communications and Development Assistant for a part-time position at our George Street office. This entry level position will be approximately 24 hours/week.

 

POSITION SUMMARY
The Part-Time Communications and Development Assistant supports communication, marketing, development, and community outreach initiatives. The position works collaboratively across departments and with community partners to strengthen engagement efforts and advance the health center’s mission.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate marketing collateral material assessment and provide recommendations for future marketing pieces.
• Organize and create a library of marketing assets and collateral materials.
• Assist with event planning and logistics, including preparing materials, coordinating staffing, coordinating with 
community partners, and follow-up.
• Research past and current donors, and prospective supporters to identify engagement and philanthropic trends.
• Assist with donor database cleanup and organization and development of supporter, advocate, donor, and prospect 
pipeline.
• Monitor analytics and track outcomes for various activities including donor engagement, marketing activities, and 
events.
• Utilize computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information.
• Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive/private data.
• Adhere to Family First Health policies and procedures while completing tasks. 
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Knowledge of computer software applications (Microsoft Office Applications, others) and ability to operate general 
office equipment
• Strong written and communication skills with an ability to communicate well and in a caring and supportive manner 
with individuals of all backgrounds
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced 
environment
• Ability to be proactive in follow-up and follow-through, and to juggle multiple competing tasks
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation as it relates to correspondence necessary to perform essential job 
functions
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures necessary to perform essential job 
functions
• Ability to critically think which means the ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe; 
understand logical connections between ideas; and identify, construct, and evaluate arguments
• Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information 
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately with strong attention to detail
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, volunteers, and the public
• Ability to take initiative and work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to learn software systems, such as donor management, communications, and marketing systems

  • Maintains current knowledge of pertinent federal, state and Family First Health regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
