About the Role

The Change Management and Communications Lead is vital to CommunityAid’s success. The person in this role is charged with building and maturing the organization’s change management muscle, partnering with project sponsors, managers, and teams to achieve and sustain the desired outcomes of change initiatives. Equally important, the Change Management and Communications Lead will develop and lead the internal communications strategy and function, plus manage certain processes related to employee experience and engagement.
 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Change Management
    • Provide change practitioner consultation and partnership to executive sponsors and project managers
    • Partner with executive sponsors and project managers in leveraging proven change management methodologies and tools to achieve all the desired benefits of important change initiatives.
    • Coordinate and/or deliver change management education, coaching, and resources to educate managers and equip them to lead their teams through change and build the change management capabilities throughout the organization.
  • Internal Communications
    • Develop and execute the company's internal communications strategy, tools, and resources in alignment with the CommunityAid brand, mission and core behaviors
    • Develop and manage a company-wide communications calendar, as well as the annual People Ops (HR) communications plan
    • Be the internal communications subject matter expert, including personally crafting brand-aligned voicing and composing written and digital communication that incorporates CommunityAid’s mission, vision, and core behaviors
    • Manage internal communications channels and programs, choosing the right channels and timing to reach various audiences effectively
  • Project and Program Management
    • Manage certain programs (e.g. employee experience and engagement surveys) in collaboration with the People Operations (HR) team
    • Manage projects full-cycle from charter development to implementation and into the sustainment phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field, or a combination of relevant progressive proven experience as:
    • a change practitioner (managing change initiatives or providing subject matter expert counsel to project sponsors/project managers) and/or
    • an internal communications professional
  • Internal communications experience, including strategy development, execution, and program management strongly preferred
  • Change practitioner certification (Prosci®, ACMP, or equivalent) preferred; ability and willingness to become Prosci® Change Practitioner certified required
  • Excellent writing and storytelling abilities that translate complex information into clear, engaging communications
  • Stakeholder management expertise
  • Project management experience

 

Work Environment and Hours

  • Full-time, hybrid role (most frequent in-person location is York, Pennsylvania)
  • This role may require occasional travel to store or other meeting locations for in-person collaboration or to provide special in-store support for major sale days
