JOB SUMMARY:

Assists the Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee the marketing and sales functions for the community and maintain high occupancy levels. Helps coordinate the marketing and sales efforts, PR, news releases and Fireside for the campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
  2. Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
  3. Markets and closes sales on apartments and cottages while maintaining high occupancy levels.
  4. Assists with market research including maintaining updated information on market trends and competition.
  5. Works closely with the Marketing Director and co-workers and residents to coordinate and develop all facility marketing efforts.
  6. Assists with special marketing events.
  7. Maintains and updates prospective community resident information on the computer.
  8. Makes follow-up contacts to sales leads in an appropriate and timely manner.
  9. Assists with maintaining all records and information associated with marketing and sales.
  10. Understands the resident contracts and negotiates them according to Homewood’s policies and all regulatory requirements.
  11. Assists in completing the sales contract and with residents moving in.
  12. Assists with the turnover of units.
  13. Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Knowledge of professional marketing sales standards and techniques.
  2. Previous experience in sales. CCRC experience preferred.
  3. Has compassion, understanding and empathy for older persons.
  4. Ability to identify prospective resident individual needs and expectations.
  5. Ability to close a sales agreement.
  6. Qualities of leadership, initiative, self-motivated, good judgment, communication skills and dependability.
  7. Can identify with and promote the mission, corporate values and goals and objectives of Homewood.
  8. Is friendly, understanding, sincere and confidential in relating with older persons and their families.
  9. Conveys a professional image and can represent the organization well.
  10. Computer literate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspects of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate computers, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
