Role Summary

Urban Outfitters is looking for an E-Commerce Content Operations Specialist! We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and proactive individual to play a key role in digital content management for UrbanOutfitters.com. They will be responsible for a variety of e-commerce operational tasks and duties, including site content management, weekly marketing asset publishing, promo execution, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate must have exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and innate ability to filter and prioritize feedback and requests. They must be able to work under pressure and tight time constraints without sacrificing quality of work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Upload content daily through content management systems, and execute onboarding of up to 150 assets per week within an international catalog
  • Manage content and promotion calendar and working documents that would be used for team reference
  • Attend meetings and work collaboratively with Web Merchandising, SEO, Creative, UX Design, Copy, Planning, and IT/DTC teams to ensure delivery of brand-appropriate marketing content on site
  • Identify and resolve technical issues before they go out to the customer; follow-through until resolution is vital
  • Assist with Weekly and Monthly content reporting
  • Ongoing QA and monitoring of website and app content and proper functionality

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience working in a collaborative or professional environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to inform and provide updates to team and cross-functional partners
  • Strong capacity for multi-tasking, organization, working independently and time management
  • Highly flexible under pressure and tight time constraints
  • Appreciation for and understanding of the Urban Outfitters customer and aesthetic
  • A passion for retail and specifically ecommerce in today’s marketplace
  • In-depth computer literacy and internet proficiency
  • Must be comfortable working with technical systems and troubleshooting web issues

Preferred Skills

  • Competency with web-based product, content, or catalog management applications
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Contentful, Dynamic Yield, Salesforce, Asana, Google Suite a plus
  • Understanding of basic digital UX principles in the ecommerce space and global fashion market
