The U.S. Head of Digital Experience and Technology serves as a strategic bridge between business leadership and digital product teams, overseeing the transformation of business goals into impactful digital solutions. This role leads the Product Management and Technology organizations, driving innovation, customer-centricity, and operational excellence. Inspired by modern product leadership principles, the U.S. Head of Digital Product & Technology fosters a digital-first culture and agile ways of working to accelerate value delivery.

Scope of the Role

The U.S. Head of Digital Experience and Technology is a dual reporting role to the Global Head of Digital Product and Technology and to the U.S. GM and serve as a key member of the U.S. Leadership Team. This role will oversee the entire U.S. Product Management & Technology organization, with direct responsibility for leading and integrating the following functions:

- Design of Digital Products

- Digital Product Management

- Architecture 

- Engineering

- Information Security 

 

Additionally, U.S. Head of Digital Experience and Technology will partner closely with the U.S. Head of Operations to transition data and remaining product areas under U.S. Head of Digital Product and Technology leadership by the end of 2026. This transition will consolidate digital strategy, product execution, and operational alignment under a unified leadership model. The U.S. Head of Product & Technology will also oversee the full customer journey across digital touchpoints, 

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of digital engagement, product innovation, and technology enablement across the U.S. business, ensuring that all digital initiatives are strategically aligned, customer-centric, and operationally sound.

Day to Day 

Strategic Leadership & Alignment

  • Define and execute the digital transformation strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Translate strategic business goals into digital themes, opportunities, and product visions.

  • Lead the Polaris Roadmap, Portfolio & Reporting initiatives to ensure transparency and alignment across digital programs.

Organizational Oversight

Manage key digital leaders including:

- Head of Design

- Head of Digital Product

- Head of Architecture

- Head of Engineering

- Head of Information Security

Business-Digital Translation 

  • Act as a translator between business needs and digital solutions.

  • Support the planning of business goals into actionable digital initiatives and product roadmaps.

Innovation & Technology 

  • Identify and implement emerging technologies to drive business performance and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee digital platforms, tools, and infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.

  • Lead AI/ML initiatives to enhance digital products and drive operational efficiency.

  • Represent U.S. Technology in executive forums to shape cross-functional strategies and investment decisions.

Partner and Customer Experience 

  • Champion initiatives that enhance digital partner and customer engagement and satisfaction.

  • Ensure digital initiatives are grounded in validated user needs and business impact.

Portfolio Planning & Prioritization 

  • Support quarterly/annual planning cycles by shaping and prioritizing digital initiatives.

  • Align product roadmaps with business OKRs and strategic bets.

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Lead product managers, designers, and tech leads to ensure initiatives are feasible, valuable, and usable.

  • Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to integrate digital solutions into core business processes.

Stakeholder Communication 

  • Communicate progress, risks, and learnings to senior leadership.

  • Ensure clarity and shared understanding across business and digital teams.

Digital Culture & Capability Building 

  • Promote product thinking and lean & agile methodologies across the organization.

  • Mentor business stakeholders on digital product development principles.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and contribute to global platform strategies.

Risk & Compliance 

  • Ensure robust cybersecurity practices and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Mitigate digital risks through proactive governance and monitoring.

Vendor & Partner Management 

  • Manage relationships with digital service providers and technology partners.

  • Negotiate contracts and ensure delivery of high-quality services.

Performance & Metrics

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure digital transformation success.

  • Report progress and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.

  • Champion a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and empowerment within U.S. digital teams.

Essentials

  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives at scale.

  • Strong understanding of both business strategy and digital product development.

  • Familiarity with Marty Cagan’s product leadership principles (Inspired, Transformed).

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in large-scale digital transformation or product portfolio management.

  • Ability to work across silos and influence without direct authority.

Applicable Pay Range

$308,000.00 - $462,000.00

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
