Position: Social Media & Customer Engagement Manager
Working Hours: Mondays to  Fridays; 9:00AM to 5:00PM US Eastern Time 
Salary range : USD 1200- 1800 per month depending on experience

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a self-driven, digitally fluent Social Media & Customer Engagement Manager to join our team full-time. You’ll be the frontline voice of our brand, interacting with our online community, creating and repurposing content, solving customer issues, and using AI tools to automate and enhance engagement across platforms.This person has to be an AI enthusiast!

This is not just a social media posting job. We need someone who lives and breathes digital community engagement, is excited about learning new tools (especially AI), and can creatively solve problems on the fly. You’ll become an integral part of our brand’s voice—understanding the lingo, culture, and heartbeat of our online community. ** this is an outdoor equipment company 

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Management & Engagement
     
    • Actively engage with our audience across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more.
    • Respond to DMs, comments, and posts in a timely, on-brand, and helpful manner.
    • Learn the community's language and culture to speak authentically and meaningfully.
    • Monitor conversations and flag opportunities or issues proactively.
       
  • Social Media Content Management
     
    • Create, schedule, and repurpose engaging social content using tools like Canva, Photoshop, and basic AI tools.
    • Use AI tools to generate and automate content (e.g. converting images to videos, generating captions).
    • Assist in developing a content calendar and coordinating campaign timelines.
       
  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution
     
    • Address and resolve customer questions or issues via social platforms and messaging apps like WhatsApp.
    • Quickly escalate concerns as needed while maintaining a helpful, friendly tone.
    • Use Shopify to assist with basic order or product inquiries.
       
  • Creative & Technical Skills
     
    • Create and edit short-form video content for social platforms.
    • Design basic graphics for posts and stories.
    • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, image/video generators) to streamline workflows and enhance content.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (accent not critical)
  • Proven social media management experience (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Experience with community management and customer engagement
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Slack, and WhatsApp
  • Good working knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools
  • Basic video editing (Reels, Shorts, Stories, etc.)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and directions quickly
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, AI image/video generators
     

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience using social media automation tools ***Use systems (on the fly) Technology ignostic
  • Prior work in e-commerce or DTC brands
  • Skills in copywriting or caption writing
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Personal or professional interest in drones/ fishing
