Position: Senior Marketing Specialist                       Department:  Marketing

Reports to: AVP- Marketing

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to lead department initiatives and projects to support company goals and to execute, with a high degree of creativity and precision, marketing related items as advertising, communications, customer service, analytics, and sales that support profitable growth for the company. This position is also responsible for providing recommendations for change, improvement, and strategy to marketing leadership, with the ability to plan and produce from those plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Support corporate growth and profitability goals through marketing efforts.
  2. Build and deliver marketing plans and materials to support strategic company projects.
  3. Manage department projects from inception to execution and follow-up, utilizing appropriate technology as needed.
  4. Manage balanced relationships with vendors and enforce expectations as needed.
  5. Develop marketing analysis techniques and analyze marketing data to influence improvement and advancement in marketing efforts.
  6. Offer recommendations and plans for department improvement and industry involvement to marketing leadership.
  7. Create, maintain, and refresh marketing collateral as needed, utilizing analytics to drive decisions.
  8. Communicate and educate employees on marketing efforts and materials to gain buy-in and create brand ambassadors.
  9. Maintain established voice of the company for marketing that supports our corporate mission.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of corporate processes and external operating environment to further improve effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  11. Coach and mentor fellow employees to build strength of the marketing team.
  12. Build association relationships as requested and required.
  13. Attend and participate in trade shows and industry events as requested and required.


Requirements

 Knowledge and Skills:

  1. 5-7 years of either Property/Casualty or Direct Marketing experience.
  2. Fundamental understanding of Property/Casualty brokerage, advertising, customer service and sales.
  3. Digital marketing experience preferred.
  4. Excellent organizational skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  6. Personal Computer literate (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  7. Marketing system application experience preferred.
  8. Must be a self-starter who can work in an unsupervised environment.
  9. Demonstrated creativity and leadership skills.
  10. Capable of producing work of the highest quality and a fundamental understanding of the concepts of a quality program.
