We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Specialist to help bridge the gap between our outsourced marketing agency and our internal sales efforts, playing a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. This is an onsite role with potential travel around Pittsburgh to meet with prospective clients.
 
Role Overview
This hybrid role combines business development and marketing coordination to drive revenue. The selected candidate will work closely with Ascent Data’s outsourced marketing agency to align sales initiatives with marketing strategies while also directly engaging with prospects to promote our MSP and data services.
 
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
  • Drive new business by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities for MSP and data services.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with prospects around Pittsburgh to demonstrate Ascent Data’s solutions.
  • Work towards hitting sales targets and revenue goals, with commission incentives rewarding high performance.
Marketing Coordination
  • Act as a liaison between the business development and the outsourced marketing agency, ensuring alignment in messaging and strategy.
  • Provide insights and feedback on marketing efforts based on prospect interactions.
  • Collaborate with management on agency created lead generation campaigns, brand positioning, and promotional efforts that drive sales.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing coordination, preferably in MSP, IT services, cloud solutions, or data center industries.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth in a B2B environment.
  • Experience working with marketing teams and aligning sales efforts with marketing strategies.
  • Self-starter with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable with local travel around Pittsburgh to meet with clients.
  • A valid driver’s license
