If you have experience in the management of planning, design, and implementation of public relations, marketing, and advertising including web based and social media platforms – CATA may have a job for you. A Bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, marketing or other similar field and two years' public relations or project coordination experience preferred.
Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.
- Develops and carries out specific marketing activities, promotions, and community outreach programs
- Promotes CATA's family of services to various audiences
- Responsible for the creation and management of various branded methods of communication including bus stop signs both static and electronic where appropriate
- Prepares and executes an annual marketing plan and budget
- Manages the catabus.com website
- Develops company literature such as annual reports, budget documents, public timetables, and other documents in various formats
- Prepares and disseminates information about the Authority through press releases, newsletters, social media, etc., responds as necessary engaging with and responding to questions from customers and the community
- Assists the agency with messaging and keeps abreast of news and information related to transit and the local community.
- Cultivates and maintains a strong working relationship between the authority, community organizations, the media and customers.
- Designs or contracts for professional design services to produce advertising materials and marketing campaigns, and procures paid advertising
- At the direction of the department director, coordinates and represents CATA at public events and with community organizations and activities
- Serves as first contact with news media
- Manages all aspects of CATA's transit advertising sales vendor contract
- Develops and oversees market research activities, including the Authority's triennial Customer Satisfaction Survey
- Coordinates and oversees special events
- Works with department director to lead community engagement activities, particularly those related to federal Title VI regulations
- Supports the department director in business development activities
- Completes regular updates to standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for this position.
