Description

Emerson is seeking a forward-thinking engineer to lead our North America New Generation and Digital Transformation Proposals team. As a Proposals Manager in our Cranberry Township, PA office, you will guide high‑quality, customer‑focused proposal development while collaborating with cross‑functional partners to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and business growth. You will play a key role in shaping future offerings that help customers build safer, smarter, and more sustainable infrastructure.  

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the development and delivery of accurate, highquality, and timely proposals aligned with customer expectations, business objectives, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee daytoday proposal operations, including work assignment, resource planning, cost and pricing reviews, order reviews, and bookings.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to position Emerson’s digital transformation and new generation capabilities effectively.
  • Provide inclusive leadership, coaching, and mentorship that supports engagement, growth, and development across the team.
  • Ensure adherence to Emerson quality standards, delegation of authority, and trade compliance policies.
  • Support onboarding and development initiatives that build capability and prepare teams for future business needs.
  • Promote innovation by sharing best practices and encouraging collaboration across engineering, sales, and operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve proposal processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies to provide insights that support longterm strategy and innovation.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in project execution or engineering environment
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams and strategies successfully in manufacturing or engineering organizations
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, remain organized, and deliver results in a deadlinedriven setting
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
     
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in proposal development, engineering, or technical solutions related to automation, controls, or digital transformation
  • Exposure to distributed control systems, including Ovation or similar platforms
  • People leadership experience within engineering, proposals, or technical organizations
