Senate Bill 411 merged the Department of Corrections and the Board of Probation and Parole. This position is within the Department of Corrections.
As a Parole Communications Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication within a 24-hour operations monitoring center. Your duties will include receiving, interpreting, transmitting, and coordinating communications and activities for parole supervisory staff. Your duties will also involve prioritizing and responding to various electronic messages, including urgent and emergency ones. Additionally, you will be responsible for relaying messages to parole supervisory staff and evaluating alerts and data related to potential violations by offenders under electronic monitoring. It will also be your responsibility to maintain accurate records and logs of Parole Board and Department of Corrections applications on personal computers, as well as operate and monitor various communications devices such as two-way radios, telephones, and facsimile machines. Your role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of the community and the effective functioning of the criminal justice system.
