Operations & Marketing Manager (non-technical) – Drybar

Department: Sales Operations
Reports To: Assistant  Manager / Shop Manager
Position Type: Full-Time Leadership Role

Position Summary

The Operations & Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the shop while helping drive revenue growth through scheduling optimization, marketing initiatives, and sales support. This role works closely with the shop manager to maintain efficient operations, drive the client service experience, support membership and retail growth, and strengthen Drybar’s presence within the local community. 

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Scheduling

  • Manage appointment scheduling in Booker to maximize revenue and stylist productivity while balancing labor costs.
  • Assist the Shop Manager with staffing coordination and shift coverage.
  • Assist the Shop Manager in maintaining high labor utilization and efficiency.
  • Maintain operational flow and ensure a smooth daily shop experience.

Revenue & Sales Support

  • Support initiatives that drive membership growth and retention.
  • Encourage add-on services, retail sales, and package purchases.
  • Assist the shop manager in setting and tracking KPIs related to retail, services, and memberships.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Work with the shop manager and team members on social media planning and posting.
  • Support and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and in-shop events.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to support community outreach.
  • Assist the shop manager in planning recruitment events and local brand partnerships.

Bartender Training

  • Train bartenders on Booker, client experience standards, and Drybar service protocols.
  • Train stylists on Booker & KPI sales focuses.
  • Reinforce product knowledge and upselling techniques for front desk staff.

Operational Oversight

  • Assist with monitoring inventory and product ordering.
  • Ensure shop complies with company policies, safety standards, and service protocols.

Success in This Role

  • Appointment scheduling supports both revenue growth and stylist productivity.
  • Membership, retail, and add-on sales increase through team engagement.
  • Marketing efforts improve shop visibility and client engagement.
  • Exceptional client service, positive Google reviews, and top client survey scores result in a business that is growing above the Drybar average.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a salon, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Experience with marketing, social media, or event coordination preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Booker, Canva, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Comfortable promoting services, products, and special offers online
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
