Marketing Officer

We are seeking a full-time Marketing Officer to join our team and work on-site at our East Street Community Office in Bloomsburg, PA. As part of the Marketing Department, this position reports to the SVP, Marketing Director.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the Bank's marketing, promotion, sales, and public relations program; achieving goals as established in the Marketing Department's annual operating plan; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the marketing function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.

Essential Responsibilities: The Marketing Officer is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the Bank's Marketing function, including but not limited to:

  1. Coordinates and executes marketing, promotion, and public relations programs, such as:
    1. Developing content for social media platforms, websites, digital ads, & email marketing, in-branch digital signage/messaging, and online business listings
    2. Creating or managing long and short-form video for use across digital platforms
    3. Supporting campaigns for new products, promotions, and brand awareness
    4. Producing in-branch signage, brochures, and other physical marketing collateral
    5. Supporting sponsorship and event-related marketing
  2. Manages digital marketing tools and channels, including administering and updating the Bank's multiple websites and online resources, and ensures adherence to compliance and brand standards.
  3. Creates and curates' original content:
    1. Writes and edits blog posts, social media captions, video scripts, and email content, and designs corresponding imagery.
    2. Coordinates video and podcast production, from scripting and filming to editing and publishing
    3. Designs or collaborates on visuals for ads, internal materials, and community outreach
  4. Supports marketing research and competitor analysis.
  5. Collaborates with internal departments and branch teams.
  6. Supports branding and public relations efforts:
    1. Maintains consistent messaging across media
    2. Writes press releases and coordinates distribution
    3. Maintains media and community contacts
    4. Represents the bank at public events, promotions, and community engagements
  7. Contributes to the tracking and reporting of marketing data.
  8. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements: The selected candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or other related field with certifications in digital marketing preferred. In addition, a minimum of five (5) years of marketing experience, with at least two (2) years focused on digital marketing, online advertising, or video content in financial services or a similarly regulated industry.

  • Candidates must have experience managing local SEO efforts (Google MyBusiness, Bing Webmaster); they must be proficient in website CMS, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, SEM Rush; be strategic with creative thinking and strong project execution skills; expertise in digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media, email, Google Ads); strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for digital and video content; familiarity with graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite); excellent interpersonal and communication skills; working knowledge of banking products and regulatory marketing considerations; valid driver's license.
